Fixed Asset Accountant About the Fixed Asset Accountant Role and
Our Client: We are seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to join a
growing organization based in Akron . This role will focus on the
accurate and timely preparation of general ledger entries, ensuring
compliance with accounting principles, and supporting month-end and
year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will be
detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in maintaining accurate
financial records while working in a collaborative and dynamic team
environment. Responsibilities: Prepare and review general ledger
entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
(GAAP). Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial statements. Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring
discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring
deadlines are met and financial data is accurate. Assist with
internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
and explanations for general ledger accounts. Maintain fixed asset
records and ensure proper depreciation schedules are followed.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and provide support
for budget preparation and forecasting. Collaborate with other
departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure financial
accuracy across the organization. Qualifications: 2-4 years of
experience in general ledger accounting or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP). Experience with
accounting software and ERP systems. Detail-oriented with strong
analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work
independently and in a team environment. Excellent time management
and organizational skills. This role is on site near Akron, Ohio
and the salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 based on
experience.
