manages patients with anticipated short lengths of stays up to two
midnights, at which point a disposition decision is made. - Common
diagnoses include: Dehydration and electrolyte abnormalities,
Nausea and Vomiting, Chemotherapy/Radiation symptom management,
Acute Kidney Injury, Palliative/Pain Control, Urinary Tract
Infection, Syncope, Post-Procedure (IR, GI, Pulm) requiring
overnight stay, Transition to Hospice, PEG tube/Line placement,
Fever of Unknown Origin, - Patients boarded from the ED and ICC in
observation status. Patients are stable and unlikely to require an
upgrade in care. Goal is for discharge in less than two midnights.
Unit providers include APPs and supervising MDs. - Ratio 1:4 - NEED
Ohio license or compact in hand - Traveler's current perm
employment CAN'T BE AT OhioHealth, Mt. Carmel, or Nationwide
Children's. Per Diem is allowed. - Nurse's education/program must
