Job Title: Technologist Profession: Imaging Specialty: Computed Tomography (CT) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years Required License: Michigan license verification required Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: Phillips Experience Required Description: This position follows the clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text where applicable, with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day. Applicants who are looking for more than seven days off or who have negative background or employment history are not eligible for the same processing timeline. The role involves coordinating and participating in all computerized tomography scanning procedures. The technologist will set up, monitor, and operate complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities include setting up and monitoring the computer operation of C.T. equipment per patient, and transferring and positioning patients utilizing accepted standards of safety and proper lifting techniques. The position also requires providing required patient identification and obtaining vital information from patients regarding known allergies and pertinent medical history. The technologist will properly prepare and inject contrast media intravenously into appropriate patients as needed for examinations protocolled by the Radiologist. Images will be made and developed for permanent file, and all studies will be recorded on magnetic tape for future reference. Organizing the daily patient schedule in cooperation with the work-room technician is also part of the job. The technologist will maintain image quality according to department guidelines and perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment, as well as ensure proper repair of equipment. They will be responsible for electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copying. Monitoring patients for allergic reactions and taking appropriate action is essential. Assistance with emergency medical situations, including providing basic CPR, will also be required. The position entails providing protection to self and patients in accordance with current prescribed safety standards and regulations. Maintaining cleanliness of the working environment and assuring adequate supplies are maintained is necessary. Instructing new personnel as needed and assisting Radiologists and other physician specialists in specialized radiological procedures is included in the role. Reviewing and recording pertinent patient history and clinical data to aid the Radiologist in diagnosis is essential. Participation in quality assessments and continuous improvement opportunities is also part of the job responsibilities.
