Job Description Description A Brief Overview /n Serving at our
health system’s most advanced and complex cardiac catheterization
laboratory, the UH Cleveland Medical Center Cath Lab performs a
variety of state of the art procedures giving our team a
well-rounded experience in coronary, peripheral, and structural
heart disease including hybrid structural and aortic interventions.
/n As a Radiology Tech, you will play a vital role on our Cardiac
Cath Lab team at our Cleveland Medical Center, providing diagnostic
imaging services to help our physicians diagnose and treat a
variety of medical conditions. /n At University Hospitals, we offer
– /n /n - Competitive hourly wage plus an increased hourly rate of
$7.25/hr. /n - $10,000.00 sign-on bonus /n - Free parking /n /n
On-Call requirements: /n 8-10 days of call in that 6 weeks, which
includes a weekend. /n Summer and Winter holiday /n 40 minute call
back for emergencies /n What You Will Do /n /n - The staff must
demonstrate the ability to assess patients' status and identify
each patient’s requirements relative to their age specific needs.
/n - The Radiologic technologist assists in the acquisition of
patient history and entering into Hemodynamic system and/or EMR. /n
- Prepping patient and attaching leads, Defibrillator Pads, BP cuff
and setting up the sterile field. /n - Assisting the Physician at
the table maintaining sterile procedure. Responsible for
availability of supplies and equipment keeping in mind fiscal
responsibility. /n - Responsible for all duties related to
Radiation Safety and Protection. /n /n Additional Responsibilities
/n /n - Performs other duties as assigned. /n - Complies with all
policies and standards. /n - For specific duties and
responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department
during orientation. /n - Must abide by all requirements to safely
and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our
patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies
and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in
the workplace. /n Qualifications Education - Other Accredited
Program: Radiologic Technology Program or Cardiovascular Invasive
Specialist Program. (Required) Work Experience - Experience with
pacemaker insertions (Preferred) and - Scrubbing in may be required
for the Adult setting, but preferred for the Pediatric setting
(Preferred) and - Special Procedures experience (Preferred) and -
Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization Lab or
Electrophysiology Lab experience (Preferred) and - Advance EKG
recognition course experience within 1st year of hire. (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Demonstrating proficiency in
arrhythmia recognition (Preferred proficiency) - Strong
communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. (Required
proficiency) - Team player (Required proficiency) - Basic computer
skills and experience with Hemodynamic Monitoring. (Required
proficiency) - Use of a variety of equipment, including power
injectors and various computers. (Required proficiency) - Knowledge
of all radiation safety QA. (Required proficiency) - Knowledge of
proper sterile procedure technique and infection control. (Required
proficiency) Licenses and Certifications - Registered Technologist
Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) (Required) or - Basic Cardiac Life
Support (BCLS) (Required) and - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS) (Required within 1 Year) - CCI equivalent. (Required) and -
Licensed in the State of Ohio (Required) and - Certification of
completion in a cardiovascular review course (Preferred) Physical
