Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: RN - PCU/Tele Location: Akron, OH Schedule: Nights (3x12s) Pay: $2,376/week Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry team in Akron, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with moderate to severe medical conditions who require continuous monitoring. This role involves managing patient care plans, administering medication, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to patients in the PCU/Telemetry unit, monitoring vital signs and interpreting telemetry data. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs. Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Assist in the management of patients requiring ventilators, bipap, and other advanced therapies. Monitor and document patient progress, communicating effectively with physicians and healthcare team members. Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. Respond promptly to changes in patient status, providing emergency interventions as necessary. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
