Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN General,

weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Experience:
Minimum years of experience required License: Current licensure as
a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio
Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Ability to clear metal
detector daily Description: Provides professional nursing care to
patients in a state-operated facility. Observes, assesses, and
records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients. Makes
nursing rounds and takes vital signs. Prepares and administers
prescribed medications and ordered treatment plans. Monitors
patients under restraint and provides immediate medical attention
to emergencies. Schedules and reviews work of lower-level staff, if
assigned, and participates in staff development and education.
Organizes and oversees code blue team and directs health care staff
assigned to the area. Performs clerical tasks, including charting
and documenting medications and treatments. Maintains inventory of
controlled drugs and medical supplies. Arranges for out-patient
clinic appointments and medical examinations. Conducts and/or
attends meetings and serves as instructor on occasion. Demonstrates
knowledge of professional registered nursing procedures and
regulations. Possesses skill in operating medical equipment and
ability to gather and classify information. Maintains physical
fitness to perform job duties effectively. Continues professional
