Job Description Description A Brief Overview Demonstrates
successful technical/patient skills by efficiently performing
Electroneurodiagnostic studies in age-specific manner to inpatients
and identifying clinical events. Clips and archives EEG studies.
Accurately completes all patient documentation forms and database
entry. Provides preliminary and final results to other medical
personnel upon request. Maintains equipment and recording area in a
clean and operational condition. Demonstrates EEG knowledge to
autonomously utilize clinical and technical expertise to its
fullest potential with no supervision. What You Will Do
Demonstrates successful technical/patient skills by efficiently
performing electroneurodiagnostic studies out-patient and inpatient
portables. Provides age-specific care to patients. Accurately
completes all charge entry, database entry and any necessary
registration forms. Provides preliminary and final results to other
medical personnel upon request. Maintain equipment and recording
area in a clean and operational condition. Additional
Responsibilities Demonstrates behaviors which significantly impacts
the productivity, efficiency or quality of the laboratory or
department. Trouble shoot equipment malfunctions. Clip and archive
EEG records in timely manner. Be familiar with departmental and
ASET guidelines for specialized tests as mentioned above without
direct supervision on all recording devices. Performs specialized
testing such as carotid endarterectomy setups, WADA testing, EEG
with Tilt Table, EEG with PET scan according to departmental and
ASET guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with
all policies and standards. For specific duties and
responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department
during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and
securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our
patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies
and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in
the workplace. Qualifications Education Other Accredited Program:
Graduate of an accredited/ABRET recognized EEG program (Required)
or High School Equivalent / GED (Required) Work Experience 2 years
Trained on the job in EEG with minimum of two years of clinical EEG
experience (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Math Aptitude
(Required proficiency) Computer skills (Required proficiency) Good
written and verbal communication skills (Required proficiency)
Medical Terminology (Required proficiency) Knowledge of EEG
equipment (Required proficiency) Knowledge of placement of EEG
electrodes (Required proficiency) EEG Pattern recognition skills
(Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Basic Life
