Job Description:

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced nuclear med tech for a permanent flex role with an area hospital in Marietta, OH where you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operating radiation detection and imaging equipment. Minimum Requirements An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology. Current state license and certification to practice nuclear medicine. BLS certification. Minimum 1 year experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred. Demonstrated competency with Dose Calibrator, Geiger Counter, Captus well counter and uptake probe. Experience operating Stress Lab equipment including EKG machines and treadmills. Skill with basic patient monitoring devices such as glucometer, blood pressure monitors, and pulse oximeter. Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures and participation in on-call rotations. Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital diagnostic imaging environment and provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. Responsibilities Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with protocols and regulations. Operate radiation detection and imaging equipment to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Collaborate with stress test nurses and other clinical staff to conduct stress testing and imaging studies. Perform quality control checks on imaging and dose-measurement devices. Monitor patient vital signs and respond to patient needs during procedures. Participate in departmental on-call rotation as required.
