Company Description: Hofbrauhaus Cleveland is a German themed
brewpub/craft brewery restaurant located in downtown Cleveland,
Ohio licensed by Hofbrauhaus Munich, owned by the State of Bavaria.
Our goal is to market a historic handcrafted beer in the highest
quality of German brewing tradition, with authentic Bavarian
cuisine and atmosphere, along with the best of European tradition,
sing-along entertainment and customer service, making it one of the
largest and most popular brewpubs in the region. Our establishment
runs on twin engines, the brewery and the kitchen. The goal of
truly giving our guest a taste of Bavaria in Cleveland and reaching
our sales objectives depends on these two production/revenue
centers running in perfect precision and with the highest degree of
excellence, replicating a product and atmosphere that has been
perfected in Munich, Germany since the year 1589. 60% of our menu
items are served as in Munich and 40% are local favorites with a
European or beer theme. We are looking for an experienced
passionate kitchen manager with the highest standards of food
quality, cleanliness, and leadership that can handle high volume
multitasking and still produce a superior product. Our desire is a
master chef that can produce old world recipes but at the same time
be innovative and bring to the local market international flavors
of Europe and Bavaria with a new twist. Responsibilities: The
Executive Chef has a wide range of duties and responsibilities
within the kitchen. The most important of these is to ensure that
epic quality, Bavarian culinary dishes are served on schedule with
the highest degree of sanitary practices and recipe adherence. As
such, the Executive Chef is responsible for all prepared food items
that leave his or her kitchen. Additionally, the Executive Chef is
responsible for the hands-on direction of our menu development,
high-volume kitchen production, developing staff, staff schedules,
quality control, inventory controls, food/labor cost, and kitchen
sanitation. Media promotional duties will also be required from
time to time. Qualifications: The successful candidate should
possess the following: 5 years as an Kitchen Manager/Chef/Sous Chef
with a high-volume establishment Trained and experienced with
German/Bavarian/Austrian Cuisine Highly self motivated individual
with the ability and desire to work long hours/weekends/holidays
Obtain and hold any necessary local or state required food
handling/supervision/sanitation licenses or Certificates Excellent
communication skills and a track record of being a team player
Position Details: The Executive Chef is a full time, salaried
position, reporting directly to the General Manager. Start Date for
employment is immediate. Employment Type: Full Time Years
Experience: 5 - 10 years Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 Annual
